What does it mean to be a double-headed rivet?
A double-headed rivet has both ends identical. In this case, both heads of the rivet are slightly convex. For example, if we use it to fasten a bag handle to a ring or handle holder, both visible sides of this rivet will be gently domed.
A little anatomy of the rivet, that is, the parts of the rivet:
- Rivet head - this is the smaller part, perforated from the inside.
- Rivet foot - this is the long part with the foot. The rivet foot is the stronger, more durable part of the rivet. This part is sure not to deform during striking. Therefore, it is practical to insert the rivet foot from the right side of the workpiece.
